Online Study Journals – what is it?
Study journals are the records of all of students’
activities in school. That is taking notes of the topics discussed in class,
questions pose in the open source forums and how did the student or other
student tackle difficult questions in the open source forum. It is the records
for your activities for that day. For instance, when did you attend class? What
was discussed in the class room? What was discussed in the open source forum? What
did you learn from what was discussed from both the open source forum and the
class room? In summary what new thing have you learnt for the day? Have you
made new friends? Did you visit the library today? Did you absorb corrections
made in the open source forum for the day?
And the list of the questions goes on. These are very vital
questions we need to make note for. We need to write them down in our journals.
Some online educations scores students for making notes, regular attendance in
class and participation in the open source forums and finally in test and
exams.
There are benefits, because it enables students to take
seriously their study, and to partake fully in forums and test and exams. It
finally, will boost students writing skills and memories.
