5 easy steps to start a blog with wordpress

Yes it is true that many persons today blog for a living, but you might ask as beginner: How do I get started? Which blogging software should I use? And questions like that. Well on this post I am going to show you the step-by-step guide to get you started to the blogosphere using wordpress software for a start. Now let get started. Bellow are the simple steps:


Step 1. to begin blogging with wordpress, you need to visit their official website to get started at: www.wordpress.com. then on the official site, click on the ‘sign up’ button for an account. Ensure that the email address provided is a valid one.



Step 2. Next, you will be asked to choose a username and password to begin with. you will also be asked if you want to create a blog or simply a wordpress website. Now since our major focus is on blog, you should check the box next to the  ‘Gimme a Blog!’ and then move on with the next step.


Step 3. fill the information for your blog as shown in the image bellow. you need to enter your blog name ( example of a blog name: http://onlinetechit.wordpress.com). word press blog being the service provider ends with ’ .wordpress.com’. before the first dot you will then input your blog name as shown earlier. that is the name that will appear on the browser when users visit your blog. make sure that you choose your domain name wisely and then enter it in the space provided.


Step 4. As soon as you complete step 3 your wordpress account becomes active and you will be asked to look for an email confirming your login info.


Step 5. You will be taken to your user dashboard where you can make changes to your blog, such as changes to your blog themes, blog roll, write your first post. you just need to take your time to play with your blogger dashboard as you can see bellow. you can also get support in case you encounter problems by clicking on the ‘support’ tab.
