What is Fiverr?

Fiverr is an online services marketplace that gives several opportunities to skilled seller or freelancers who wish to work or give out his/her skills to buyers. They are given a platform to market and sell whatever skill(s) they have to prospective buyers, for as little as $5.
Fiverr offers their freelancers the opportunity to use several tools to beautify and add colours to their ‘Gigs’. Gigs are freelancers’ work skills, which freelancers publish for everybody to see and employ them for work.

Recently, Fiverr decides to give it freelancers a new modern look and design. It has replaced the former look of Fiverr people use to know, it aims at bringing faster and better marketplace between buyers and freelancers. it also provides an added tools, to help freelancers to build up an effective and attractive Gigs to their buyers. And also, it is to make the marketplace more interactive between buyers and sellers.

Fiverr’s CEO Micah Kaufman said that more than 1.5 million active buyers and sellers use Fiverr, and the statistics is in its increase day by day, as he said that over thousands of persons are being added per day. He further highlights that Fiverr’s biggest markets are from the U.S., U.K.,Canada and Australia as well as E.U.. However, according to TechCrunch.com: Kaufman says that he envisions Fiverr as “a multi-billion dollar market opportunity”, which he also calls “gig economy”. Although, Fiverr has really gain popularities world wide, since persons are coming to the market place with great zeal. Kaufman further says: 

“The gig economy is a multi-billion dollar market opportunity. It has brought forward a number of great companies, but we believe it will also produce the next eBay or Amazon for this space, we aim to be that next giant and we do that by taking a very broad, cross-category approach on a global scale. We serve customers from 200 countries in 120 categories from the individuals to the businesses. Though, fiverr allows freelancers’ to offer their Gigs to buyers for as little as $5, however, according to Kaufman, more than 50% of the transaction done in fiverr are above $5. This has enabled their members to achieve financial independence.
Fiverr is continually gaining momentum on a daily basis, it is one of the freelancing site that its freelancers are increasing in number on a daily basis, and are getting jobs on a regular basis. This is a good place to be for skilled workers.

Signing up for fiverr is simple, all you need to do is to visit their Home page. Believing you are already there, look at the top right corner of the page, you will see Join, click on join and fill in the necessary information required. You can also, sign up using your Facebook account. After filling in the required information, you are almost done, what that is left is to publish your first Gig and start making money with Fiverr as a freelancer.
