You will agree with me that, Wi-Fi network connections are widely used by thousands of people, from across the world. And gaining access to this Wi-Fi connections is not an easy task, since majority of them are password protected. Making it difficult to penetrate and to bypass.

However, in this post I am going to show you a technique you can use to bypass a nearby

Wi-Fi connection with ease using your android device as a tool for penetrating.

A group of software researchers @ www.bcmon.blogspot.com was able to come up with a technique to get around the limitation of an android devices and added a new feature, called monitor mode, which gives them the easy access to penetrate through a Wi-Fi password protected network connection.

This mode enables you to gain access to a nearby Wi-Fi connection and see all traffics going through a network connection as well as to know the number of connected networks. You can also use the monitor mode to gain access to the WEP key of the Wi-Fi network password, by capturing it’s data packets.

This very researchers reversed engineered the Broadcom radio chip, of the android device. and also modified the firmware on the chipsets in Nexus 1 and Galaxy S2, this chips are the ones used by almost all android devices. The code can be found online @ www.code.google.com/p/bcmon/.  There is every need for you to know the type of chipsets your mobile device uses, and download the right one that is appropriate for your phone, in order not to mess things up.
